General Info

Washington Housing Authority was created by the City of Washington and chartered by the State of North Carolina in 1961. The first two residential developments were constructed to replace substandard housing in the City and were occupied in 1965. To date, Washington Housing Authority owns and manages 383 Public Housing units and administers 370 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers.
